Scenario 4 - Time and Place

In the old times, there were stories of spirits who granted wishes. In the final decades before darkness descended on the world, most considered them to be faerie tales for children…certainly not something for grown adults to chase after.

But in these strange times, the stories of wish granting spirits become more believable.

A tale has been whispered in the local settlements for months. This story says that at the right time and place, a portal will open to a shadowy realm for a brief moment. Only enough time for a single person to enter…inside, time comes to a standstill and a single request may be made of the guardian spirit within. A single request that must be granted.

Recent forays into the ghost city have identified an ancient obelisk in a park adjacent to a ruined museum; it has been shifted from it’s home in a far off corner of the world that has been long forgotten by most of the locals. But the whispers have grown louder among conspiracy theorists, occultists and members of the religious community. They know that this obelisk anchors the portal, and the time for it’s opening is very soon.

Ghost City Raiders is a game for two or more players using the Pocketmod format. Eight tiny pages describe everything you need to know in order to play the game. Each player gets an eight page booklet that describes their character, and the ways the rules change for them. The specific stories are told in the form of eight page scenario booklets.
