OSRIC Pocket SRD (PDF)

Just looking at this on arrival, without any reading as of yet.

Well, it is a very thick tome indeed. And digest sized is handy I suppose.
It's softcover so treat it as damageable (as anything softcover would be).
It is thick and if you treat it as unbreakable the spine WILL break. And you shouldn't react as surprised.

I plan to regard it as what it is. Old School D&D. All the neatness of pre 2nd edition D&D.
It isn't easy to identify all the nuances without already being a veteran D&D fanatic.
And you don't need to be.
Any veteran DM can tell you, the DM calls the shots.

This to me is a complete one book solution to anyone wanting to run pre 2nd edition D&D.
Try not to obsess over whether to call it 0e BECMI 1e. It doesn't matter enough to mention.

It is what it is, the only book you will need at the table. Not a pile of books. Leaves you room for the adventure paperwork, some dice, some maps, or whatever....See more You can arrive at the table, this book and some dice and be ready to go if you prefer.

And THAT is why I bought it.

Where did the Hardcover option go?

Is it possible to get the version with the previous cover with the dragon?

Am I to assume that this is the smaller A5 sized copy? Any chance the full size hardcopy/softcopy will be on sale here as POD? Thanks.

Is the printed book up to date with the download from Underwood Publishing?

This PDF is riddled with errors, and after pg. 268 it stops showing anything but blank pages!

Why is the file so big? On the Usherwood website it's 30MB.
