FYI, under Use of Advantages, "Recover," it mentions "Stain" ... I'm assuming that's supposed to be Stamina.

Thank you, Mr. Kenson.
The orientation issue has been resolved and the new features on the GM screen look amazing. This game is truly the modern reincarnation of Marvel FASERIP. Awesome stuff!

Hi Mr. Kenson,

I got a notice about an update to the screen (perhaps to address the portrait orientation that cuts half of the landscape page out of view?). I re-downloaded and it still presenting as portrait...and unusable. Maybe the notification from RPGNow was delayed and you're still working on it - in which case I do apologize and am happy to be patient. I just wanted to let you know that the most recent file, 2.2 is still printing incorrectly.

Thanks!

The screen has been updated with a v2.3 ZIP file which should have the proper orientation. Thanks for your patience.

Is anyone else having difficulty with the GM screen showing up Portrait instead of landscape...with the right half of each page missing? I'm not very tech-savvy, is there an easy fix that I'm missing?

Me too. I'm guessing a glitch in the update. Perhaps they'll fix it soon ...

Hey Steve, I'm not seeing v2.3. The site's only offering v2.2. https://screencast.com/t/BsCKd2OE

Ditto. I've downloaded a few times to see if maybe there was a typo. Same orientation issue. You're always such a gracious developer, Steve, and patient to a fault, so I feel like I'm being a pain. I certainly don't mean to be...just trying to get the updated file which looks like it adds some FASERIP-like features to the screen.

I show the v2.3 ZIP file in the customer view of the Screen. I just downloaded it and it unzips into the correct version of the files. Please re-check and see if you can download the correct file now (and make sure to refresh your browser to clear old data). If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll follow up with site support.

Same as the others, here. I tried refreshing and checking from different computers and still can't get it to show me anything but 2.2.

I LOVE ICONS. Please, for the love of whoever, get that jpg turned into a 3-page PDF so we can print out each panel separately.

Any plans for a Non-Landscape version of this screen? I know that I should've checked before I bought it, but ugh. Not compatible with my customizable GM's screen...

Can anyone confirm whether or not this screen actually IS updated for the Assembled Edition of ICONS? I see that Andrew said it was "supposed to be compatible" with the Assembled Edition, but I did not see any actual confirmation that it was. Thanks!

Spot-checking a few things, it does indeed seem to be updated for Assembled. I haven't done a letter-by-letter analysis, though, so use at your own risk. :)

I had downloaded the newest version which is supposed to be compatible with the assembled edition. Just recently I found a typo about the dice rolled. I went back to see if there is a correction, and there isn't. Its kind of major. The test resolution roll is made with (power + d6) - (difficulty + d6) = effort. On the GM screen, though, it says (power + d6) - (difficulty + 6) = effort. That skews the whole result an every roll made by five points and not in the player's direction. That's half the chart.

I kind of heavily modify my GM chart, so its not noticable to me. I can use a highlight with the correction. It could be distracting or completely game crashing to a newbie.

Since this was released prior to the Assembled Edition does anyone know if there is any information on this that has changed since the release of the new version?

They appear to have updated the file ("v2") several days after Assembled was released. Spot-checking it, it does appear to be updated for Assembled.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
