Una certa signora White ti dice che la Foundation for Research and Study of the Extraordinary and Eccentric ha bisogno del tuo aiuto. A quanto pare il tuo nominativo è stato selezionato da un certo A.L.A.N.: vogliono che diventi un Agente del Destino e che li aiuti in un cosiddetto “Progetto di controllo dei Freak”. All’inizio ci hai riso su. Poi hai cominciato a pensarci.

Sono i fluorescenti anni Ottanta, e niente sarà mai più come prima.

Hello Alberto,
right now we are working on the Enascentia translation (we are late, shame on us!) and the next Ultima Forsan regional book.
While a translation is not actually scheduled, we believe Freak Control is a great setting so no hope is lost =)

Allow me to translate... but forgive a liberal use of online tools, please. ;)

"It's the fluorescent Eighties, the birth of the music video, the boom of the personal computer and puffy hairstyles in a climate of high political tensions. So when British Airways Flight 747. London to Boston, disappears on final approach to Logan Airport, it's believed at first to be a terrorist attack. Yet after just over a minute, the plane reappears, out of control, and crashes to the runway, the impact killing the pilots and thirty passengers. Investigations are fruitless; the only surviving witness suffered a sudden blackout and the black box recordings are unusable. Case closed... but Professor Harold Holland, consultant to the Pentagon, remains unconvinced.

One day you receive a strange phone call from a Mrs. White. She tells you that the Foundation for Research and Study of the Extraordinary and Eccentric needs your help. Your name was selected from a certain A.L.A.N.; they want you to...See more

Hi Charles! Thank you for the excellent translation. The only thing I feel to add is we're talking about "all the surviving witnesses" and not "the only surviving witness". Why this needs to be specified? The answer lies inside the game itself... [insert dramatic music cue here]

This looks pretty interesting. Too bad I can't read Italian.

Thank you Richard, Freak Control is one of our best settings. A tribute to the Eighties pop culture, full of action and investigation.
Perhaps you can help me convincing the authors to work on a English translation =)

From that description, I have no doubt that I would pick this up if it were translated into English. Well, I guess assuming the 80s pop culture we're talking about is 80s American pop culture? I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with Italian 80s pop culture :)

FC is an alternate reality 80's American Pop Culture!

Hi Maxwell, Freak Control is indeed set in the American 80s, but maybe... just maybe... they aren't your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum American 80s ;)

The very minute there is an English translation, this is being added to my RPG library. Done, and done.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
