SciFi Tower Keep for 3D Printers

ADD TO WISHLIST >

THIS IS NOT A PDF. THIS IS A ZIPPED FILE OF .STL FILES FOR 3D PRINTERS!

(Miniature Figures of Soliders are not included and are not implied to be any part of this offer)

The KEEP TOWER for 3D Printers is a modular and customizable terrain peice for table top war games set in SciFi and near future genres.  The files are mostly able to print without rafting or supports (only the small rooftop parts need support). They are arranged to be printed on a delta printer bed of 17cm diameter print beds (but you will need to turn off rafting and reduce the skirt to just 1mm).

The floor level has sockets on the bottom and pins in the top to allow stacking of multiple levels to your needs... though more than five levels may be unsatble.  The unique roof model has options for hardpoint mounts with either glue, drilled pins, or drilled magnets. In these photos there are magnets simply glued to the surface. The roof parts are fully articulated with the magnets. (Use a hair dryer and finger pressure before inserting guns, lights to make the yokes grip the parts with more friction)

The floor has two blank areas on the inside and two on the outside for gluing on various panels printed seperately. These simulate doors, AntiPersonnel Weapons, Terminals and more. (Look for expantion packs to come in the future)

Print the files as many times as you like, customize them to your needs, and keep levels in storage for a different set of "building blocks" each time you play!

Nice work. I have not printed yet but have poured over the STLs in a viewer. I really like the fiddly bits: panels, doors, that A/C unit. They can be used to help decorate other models as well. I look forward to what comes next from the designer.

I like the look of this. Not sure If I will buy. I am new to 3d printing but am learning fast. I am among many who got a lower cost printer and am loving it (and am saving for a much better model by maybe next year). The problem is reading the above. What does "delta printer bed of 17cm diameter print beds" mean. My printer is small and can print in a 15cm cube. I have a regular print bed. Is, for some reason, your prints can only worl on this "delta" thing, whatever that is? If you got answers, I got a hankering to add this to my cart.

A delta printer is any 3-D printer that uses a 3 pole drive. to position the printhead over a Circular printing area. All that means is it's that it is a particular kind of printer design. These files should work well on any kind of printer that uses STL files. Since the Delta printer has a circular base it's measured in radius or diameter. If your printer base is only 15 cm it still might fit because this square model has to fit inside a circle that is 17 cm in diameter.

If you send me a private message, I would be happy to send you a free STL file example.

I just measured the model. The largest part is 12cm square so your printer will have no problem.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
