Remorseless

When the moon is full and the tide is high, sailors travelling the Wraith's Sea keep their eyes down and pray to their gods. For it is on such nights that the Remorseless sails. Damned for a lifetime of crimes, the crew of the Remorseless have been denied rest, and the phantom ship and her ghostly crew sail the quiet waters seeking more victims. They say that to see the Remorseless is to be cursed with a watery death.

A printable rpg battlemap compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl or skirmish game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset.

Contents: A Phantom sloop-brig style sailing ship. The ship features a cannon-armed weatherdeck, a ghostly captains quarters and crew areas, and a dark hold. The entire ship is ephemeral and incorporeal.

Uses: Fight ghost pirates aboard their ship, or be taken prisoner on the phantom vessel and try and escape before it returns to the underworld. Break the curse that holds the crew captive on the ship, or speak with the crew of wraiths to uncover clues about the past.

Download includes:

300dpi A4 pdf, with gridded map spread across many pages for easy printing.

300dpi full jpeg versions for VTT or poster printing (gridded and gridless)

Jpeg versions include both white background and sea background versions.

A note on VTT use - we have deliberately kept the quality of the file high, and you may need to resize the jpeg for use in your VTT software. Keeping the file size and resolution high gives you the flexibility to use the map how you want - crop out a particular section or use the entire map, the choice is yours.

PURCHASER

For all of your ships.. can we get a PNG file of the top deck, so that we can drop them in to the oceans that match the area we're in, and keep the ships shadow, etc.? I'd be happy with a PSD myself, but I'm sure most people would want a PNG to work with. ;)

I'm afraid that's not something we have time to sort right now. If you wanted to try yourself you can take the 'white background' version, cut it out and add a drop shadow in any Photo-editing software

Yes, it looks like it would be relatively easy with a simple hull outline like this one, but if you have any images with spars, or masts and spar shadows jutting out in to the water, it would be a nightmare to try to separate out the shadow from the background. That's where you're originals would be MUCH much faster to use or to use to create a transparent PNG.

The current campaign we're running is using ships, so my next purchase will be the rest of your sailing vessels (I only 3 so far, I think), docks and etc. That's why I brought it up.

Yes at least four questions today, and I have a handful of previous comments over the last week that I don't think got answered at all.

Bolt throwers instead of cannon.

I'd second that. Skip the Ballistas (bolt throwers) and throw in a couple of png files. That way people can customize it.

Afraid not. This particular ship is a cannon-armed ghost ship. It's how we designed it, for our own artistic decisions. There will be other ghost ships, as well as non-ghost versions, of different ships in the future.
