Cityscape Tiles: Parking Lot

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The urban jungle is more dangerous with the Cityscape Tiles: Parking Lot. With any good action setting there is going to be a time where you need a good get away vehicle chase and this is where it starts. This PDF contains two sets of 6 six by six inch tiles; one with typical 1-inch square grids usable in most D20 game systems and one with 1-inch hexagon grids usable for Hero Games and miniature gaming; that can be assembled to create any downtown parking lot. Either of theses maps are suitable for all the most popular RPG and miniature games on the market today. All the artwork in this product is by Brian Dalrymple. Color and grayscale versions are included for both tile types. Page Count: 25 Pages

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this looked when it was all printed out and assembled. I liked it better than some similar, but higher priced products. Colors and shading look very professional. I hope to see more terrain like this in the future [...]

My biggest question, when looking at a book of tiles, is why would I buy it? The answer is miniatures. If you are using miniatures, after a while that generic hex or grid map gets a little boring. Tiles are the first step towards do-it-yourself terrain [...]

Several companies have been producing 1"-square fantasy and science fiction RPGs terrain tiles for use with miniatures or counters for a while now. Louis Porter was the first to offer these for modern gamers (a nitch that desperately needed fillin [...]

Very nice set of tiles; not too many folks putting out modern/futuristic tile sets so I'm pleased to see this; hopefully the range will expand in the future to include other suitable environments. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Accepta [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
