There will come a time when the nations of the world will cease to exist. When the anachronisms of state and country are finally crushed by the inexorable juggernaut of total corporate domination. When five monolithic Corporations are the new world powers. When the lives of billions are the sole property of the companies that employ them.

There will come a time when the tools of war and politics alike are not armies or diplomats but Agents: the eyes, the hands, and sometimes the knives of the Corporations, individuals elevated to new peaks of physical and mental potential by unthinkable training and unimaginable technologies.

There will come a time when you will be recruited as an Agent, ordered to operate outside any remaining semblance of law and augmented beyond what you once considered human. When you will negotiate, bargain, spy, sabotage, kill and perhaps die in the service of your Corporation - and when you will be well rewarded, as long as you survive.

The time is 2500 AD, and it is now.

Hi there, Sorry to hear about your issue. I am not sure why that would be. There is no copy protection on the PDF. I can only imagine there was an error in the printing. Perhaps try again using a different program.

Why is there no chapter information in the pdf file guys?!
This really makes using it on a tablet a real pain.
Looking stuff up at the table is even worse.
And because the file is completely secured I can't add it myself..
Come on guys?! It looks like Such an awesome setting.

Hi there, Thanks for writing. I did not realise the PDF was secured. If you give me your email I can send you a copy of the unsecured PDF.

I get that the file is secured. That's not the real problem.
Not having digital chapters in the file is the real problem.
Honestly I'd like it far better if the file was updated to have those.
That way everybody gets em! :)

Cheers for getting back to me though! You are the first to actually offer any solution.

Hi Dave, I will take a look at adding chapters to the PDF. It's not something I've done before. I know that makes me sound like out of touch. :) Thanks for your custom though. If we manage to get the chapters added I'll send a note around so that everyone can download a new copy.

Awesome! :) Thanks.
Adding them shouldn't be too hard either, it's something I've had to do on a few.
But that requires em to be editable.
Of course I still understand that you want to make your paid product secure.

Customer service like this though, that gets people to come back and buy most of your stuff. ;)

HI there,

We're working on it. As I say, it’s not something we’ve done before and our software does not have it as a feature so I need to find something that allows us to add chapter markers.

That's fair.
Alternatively. If it is easier, and seeing that the first solution would have been to just email me the unsecured version of the pdf. Why not just update the store pdf to the unsecured version? I can add them afterwards with foxit reader. If that's easier of course.

Okay, sure. I'll do that. Good idea. James

Dave, if you can email me -, I can send you an unsecured PDF ASAP, it'll be quicker than waiting for me to upload a new one.

Just got this, looks pretty cool. With a little modification, you could use it to play in the world of the TV show Dark Matter. You guys should look into a license...

I'll take a look into that. Hope you enjoy the game. James

Hi Fred W R!

Thank you for your comment about Dark Matter! I was desperately looking for a gamebook for my original Sci-Fi campaign, unhappy with the given choices. I considered buying Coporation before, but hesitated. Your comment convinced me to do it! So thanks for the help! ;)

I don't understand the math of this month's sale. Forty percent off of what? If the price should be 40% off of the PDF price listed, then you have nearly $5 more to go.

Hi John,

I can see the prices are all wrong. I'm really sorry about that. I'll get them fixed.

Hi, it looks like the same issue with the 30% off on the current promotion as well.

Hi there, I am sorry about that. We are not running the current sale. That's a Drivethru RPG site-wide sale so I guess it must be a bug in their system. If you cannot get any luck please let me know and I will arrange a discount for you. James

The game looks intriguing and promising, but > $60 for a print version is nuts ....

James N November 28, 2015 10:16 am UTC
Hi there, there have been a lot of issues with drivethru's site altering the prices on its own. That should have been fixed. There are a range of prices now so that you can pick the one for your budget. I know the premium ones are expensive but the actual print cost on drivethru is huge because the books are print on demand. Sorry for the delay in responding.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
