Lilith

Mr. Vane owns a library haunted by the former librarian who, after catching only brief glimpses of the wraith, looks like a raven. Vane follows the raven through a mirror to the region of the seven dimensions.

Inside this world Vane learns of a house of beds where the dreamers sleep until the end of the world in death; a good death, in which life is found.

After a treacherous journey dark valley Mr. Vane meets the Little Ones. Children who never grow, only get bigger and less intelligent, and become Bags. After speaking with the eldest child Lona, Mr. Vane decides to help the children.

He sets off on a journey of discovery and danger. A journey where he meets Lilith, the princess of Bulika, and Adam and Eve who reside in the house of death.
