Another fantastic piece from Dean Spencer! Evocative with great subtle techniques - such as the transparency in the apparition with the tomb showing through

This is a necessity for running the ToA season. As per usual, concise, complete and an occasionally humourous account of the rules and rulings for the DM for the season.

Delivers as stated - this is the comprehensive repository of the rules and requirements for players for the AL ToA storyline. its a must if looking to run this season.

Generally enjoyable module with an interesting villain. Its not the best of the trilogy, but it works well to close out the arc.

If the party has a druid the treasure is fantastic. If not, it is a massive disappointment.

Rotting Roots is probably the best of the seasonal adventures so far - from the slightly far fetched barrels to the 'cave' environment.

Good finish to the series. Interesting timebomb mechanic to begin and end with, and a solid, atmospheric climax.

The yellow musk creeper is deadly - literally - for characters in the APL range, however. Combined with the ToA death Curse and you can lose a character or two very early in the campain.

For my mind the weakest of the trillogy - but saved by one of the best NPCs ever - Wadumu.

Its a basic "traverse the jungle" scenario, followed by a combat in a village. It allows for some strategy, but the DM will need to work to keep the jungle interesting.

Great introduction to ToA, particularly for new players. The race is a great balance of roleplay and skill challenge, and really gives life to the Port as a location.

Theres not a lot of combat in this, but the combat present is interesting.

Great adventure - lots of fun, and with some intersting NPCs (Crackle particularly).

As a few others have stated - If you are still within the Death Curse period in your game beware - HP draining monsters be found here and under the curse drain to Max HP does not return on a long rest. You could easily kill or cripple the characters for the remainder of your campaign.

Slightly morbid (in a good way) take on the Blood Hunter. A worthy addition. Full Review can be found here

A City on the Edge is a great way to introduce new palyers to Port Nyanzaru, and some of the factions and figures of importance. It serves as a great basis to launce from, and the adventures are varied enough to ensure something for everyone.

However, these are not 1 hour adventures. Especially for new players. Each took 2-3 hours of play for the group to complete.

The other issue I discovered is that while varied, the disparate nature of the short scenarios was a little jarring for the players, and I spent more game time than I'd prefer making logical links betwewen them for the players.

Lastly a couple of the encounter areas are not well described, and/or the provided map is confusing or cumbersome, particularly with respect to split levels and where doors are placed (upper or lower).

Still these are small criticisms of an otherwise excellent set of short adentures. Definitely reccommended, but DM's should know a little work will be required.

Minotaur's Bargain is a clever adaptation of the classic minotaur maze stereotype dungeon, dialled up to a fun, high fantasy, endurance challenge.

The Bleak Harvest is a fantastic, atmospheric horror that is a must have for 'otherworldly influence' horror fans.
