Voyagers & Venturers: 10 Cultures for Your Spelljammer Game

This as easily my favorite thing to come out of the 5e Spelljammer release.

My take on the official books aside, I've been going through the various fan-content here on the DMG, and V&V immediately jumps out as the front-runner. This book's take on the cultures within are both interesting and present a varied take on character creation that allows you to capture a variety of members of a species and culture which each feel uniquely related to it and connected. You could have two members of any of the cultures within with entirely different features, and they would still feel united by the flavor and depth of th cultures they're related to.

Frankly, I'd love to see more from the creator(s) of this book approaching pre-existing D&D cultures and peoples, both in Spelljammer and closer to home.

Spelljammer's Guide to the Galaxy

I don't hate this book.

There are several things in it that I enjoy, particularly several of the archetypes, particularly the Fighter and Monk ones.

However, certain parts of this book just don't entirely strike me as feeling Spelljammer-y. Moreso, certain things, like the Cybernetics/Augmentations or the Artificer's Spellwalker archetype (Which evokes the old Elven Spirit Warriors in a way that is just- ... less fantasy and more sci-fi) and the like feel more akin to something you'd find in Paizo's Starfinder setting. While this isn't bad, I do feel it veers a bit too heavily into the 'technology' facet of the world, something that Spelljammer back in 2e avoided pretty well. Overall, I'd allow some of this supplement at my table, but each thing would require individual approval.

Is it worth $9.95? Maybe, I'm more okay with that price than I would be if it were say, $14.95, but overall I have to say my take on this product is a hard 'maybe', some good, some bewildering.

Dark Astral: Chapbook for ZWEIHANDER RPG
Publisher: ZWEIHANDER Games

This feels a lot like it wants to be Dark Heresy, and I love Dark Heresy, but it feels more related to that than it does to Zwëihander, I know Zwëihander is, at the end of the day, a Spiritual Successor to WHFBRPG, but I'd prefer something a bit more Dune and a bit less 40k-but-not-GW.
